I decided to leave for Southern California for the Tarbiyah Conference on the same day I was to return. Although, to some it seemed like an odd idea due to the distance, Alhamdulillah I ended up back home safely. My friend, Mudasser, and I left after Fajr and reached our destination, Yorba Linda (a suburb of Los Angeles), a little before Noon.
